Countdown to Blast-Off

The Peace Corps hosted a ceremony to thank the PCTs’ host families for, well, hosting us during the training program in Ouahigouya. For me, this was a bell-weather for the countdown to the end of the training program. We now have five days left with our host families, six days until we swear in as Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) and then on Boxing Day (December 26 for those outside Canada and the UK) the newly-minted PCVs will move to our permanent sites, where we will live for the next two years.
